    Title: Placement Officer

    Reporting to: Manager

     

    Purpose of role:

    Working within a dynamic sales team, you primary focus will be arranging the placement of high quality candidates against client bookings. You will also offer advice and staffing solutions to clients or potential clients experiencing staff shortages.

    You will also carry out business development activity and call candidates for their availability. This role will require you to build strong and ongoing relationships with both clients and locums with a view to creating partnerships in practice.

    We are looking for individuals with the drive and motivation to exceed targets. You must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to quickly build effective relationships with candidates and clients.

    A successful background in recruitment is essential, preferably within the public sector or a commercial sales environment. Experience of in house databases would be an advantage. Must be confident in using Word and also Excel to a reasonable standard.

     

    Responsibilities:

  • Telephone candidates to check availability. Canvass for bookings and develop new business.
  • Build strong and ongoing relationships with both clients and locums.
  • Assist with all administrative tasks related to the business area.
  • Involvement in preparing and presenting tender and contract submissions to potential client organisations.
  • Providing training through coaching and mentoring, to support and encourage the development of new starters and existing staff.
  • Support the Divisional Manager to communicate and maintain the standards of performance required for all staff.
  • To attend national and overseas exhibitions/events as required.
  • Prepare and analyse data for management information and reports.
  • Liaise with Managers/Director and set monthly objectives for individual junior team members.
  • Implement induction training programmes for all new starters, including the completion of monthly probationary assessments.
  • Assist with the completion of staff appraisals.

  • Title: Trainee Placement Officer

    Reporting to: Manager

     

    Purpose of role:

    Your role will be similar to a full Placement Officer. This role will be for those who have no experience in medical recruitment and will be expected to develop their skills with support from a full Placement Officer. After having completed your training period you will be promoted to the post of a Junior Placement Officer.

     

    Responsibilities:

    They will be similar to those of a Placement Officer with additional responsibilities.

     

    Personal Characteristics:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Quality and customer focused.
  • Organised/effective planning.
  • Ability to work individually as well as a team member.
  • Sales driven.



  • Title: Junior Placement Officer

     

    Reporting to: Manager

     

    Purpose of role:

    Your role will be similar to a full Placement Officer. This role will be for those who have some experience in medical recruitment or for those who have successfully completed their period of training in the post of trainee consultant. You will be expected to develop your skills with support from a full Placement Officer. After having successfully completed your period as a Junior Placement Officer you will be promoted to the post of a Placement Officer.

     

    Responsibilities:

    They will be similar to those of a Placement Officer with additional responsibilities.

  • Title: Senior Placement Officer

     

    Reporting to: Manager

     

    Purpose of role:

    Your role will be similar to a full Placement Officer. This role will be for those who are very experienced in medical recruitment or for those who have completed their period as a full Placement Officer quite successfully and who are ready to take on the challenges at this level. You will be expected to support your team in liaison with your manager.

     

    Responsibilities:

    They will be similar to those of a Placement Officer with additional responsibilities.
